KNUST top-up programmes and requirements (Degree & Diploma). Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into BSc. and Diploma (Top-Up) programmes at the Department of Nursing, College of Health Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (BSC) PROGRAMMES

REGULAR (TOP-UP) SESSIONS

  • BSc. Emergency Nursing
  • BSc. Nursing
  • BSc. Midwifery

SANDWICH SESSIONS

  • BSc. Nursing
  • BSc. Midwifery
  • BSc. Community Health Nursing

DIPLOMA (TOP-UP)-SANDWICH

  • Diploma in General Nursing
  • Diploma in Community Health Nursing

KNUST Top-Up ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE PROGRAMMES

  • BSc. Emergency Nursing
  • BSc. Nursing

Holders of Diploma in Nursing with a good pass and have at least TWO (2) years of work experience.

  • BSC. Midwifery

Holders of the Diploma in Midwifery with a good pass and have at least TWO (2) years of work experience.

  • BSC. Community Health Nursing

Holders of the Diploma in Community Health Nursing with a good pass and have at least TWO (2) years of work experience.

DIPLOMA (TOP-UP) PROGRAMMES -SANDWICH

Applicants MUST have the minimum University entry requirement of Six (6) credits including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science with a minimum of THREE (3) years of work experience.

OR

Applicants MUST obtain a pass in the Institute of Distance Learning (IDL), KNUST Access Programme, with a minimum of THREE (3) years of work experience.

In addition to these, applicants must satisfy the following specific requirement in the various Programmes as follows.

  1. DIPLOMA IN GENERAL NURSING
  • MUST be a Health Assistant Clinical (HAC) certificate holder
  1. DIPLOMA IN COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING
  • MUST be a Community Health Nurse (CHN) certificate holder

KNUST Top-Up MODE OF APPLICATION

  • Applicants must purchase an e-Voucher at the Ghana Post Company Ltd
  • The e-Voucher contains a Login ID or an Application ID, and a PIN that will grant access to the online admission portal.
  • Candidates should then proceed to the Online Admissions Portal https://apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions/ and begin the application process.
  • Once the process has been completed, candidates must print out TWO (2) copies of the completed Application Form, and submit them to the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs) KNUST, together with all relevant documents (Photocopies of Certificates and transcripts)

The cost of KNUST admission form for top-up programmes is GH¢ 250.00

KNUST Top-Up Admission Deadline 2024

The deadline for the submission of Application Forms is Thursday, June 15 2024

  3. Please I am a nurse assistant clinical (NAC) holder, can I do an access course for admission to do degree in Nursing ? If yes, can you do it sandwich?
